After more than one attempt at blogging, I am going to give it another shot. Hopefully, this will allow me to open a dialog with people interested in worship. I believe that we were all created to worship God. For some, that comes quite naturally. For others, we spend more time trying to figure out what worship is than actually participating.
I've titled this "Lifestyle of Worship" because that is what I believe God is looking for in His creation. He longs to have people who live their entire lives around offering worship to God. We often think of worship as music or something to title a sunday morning service. However, worship is so much more. For those of us who are musicians, music does play a major part in our worship. What if you don't play music. Maybe when you sing, people pull their children off the streets in fear. So how do you worship?
I'd like to hear from you. How would you answer the above question. Let's start a conversation about worship. Let's learn from one another.

ReplyDeleteI agree. I believe most Christians believe what Worship is just what we do on Sunday mornings... Or, when we are in our cars on the way to work.
But, like you said it really encompasses what gift the Lord has given us and how we choose to use it. When we utilize our gifts for His glory it is worship. Whatever that gift is ie:
1. Pottery
2. Music
3. Singing
4. Painting
5. Playing and instrument and so on..
You get the point. Wonderful way to start your Blog my friend.. Miss you more than words.

ReplyDeleteYou got it my brother. Our entire lives and all that we do can be an act of worship. When we love as He has commanded us to do, we worship Him with our obedience. You get the picture

and Lawrence...Practicing the Presence of God. He really got it!
Corporate worship is a different kind of amazing! I love the energy when worshipers gather and praise Him with one voice...Wow!
